The Sirui VTJ-1.8 Video Travel Jib is a portable camera crane that can be packed quickly and conveniently in the padded bag provided. The tubes are made of 10x carbon fiber. This provides the following advantages over aluminium tubes: Weight reduction, higher stability and less vibrations. The crane can accommodate cameras weighing up to 4.5k g. The 75 mm half-shell can accommodate video heads (e.g. Sirui BCH-10, Sirui BCH-20) or levelling hemispheres (e.g. Sirui Y-75B) with a 75 mm diameter. To ensure smooth camera movements, the counterweight is placed at the end of the crane. The counterweight is a rubber donut that can be filled with water (up to approx. 5 litres) or sand. After the weight of the camera is balanced with the counterweight, you can make breathtaking rides of 360° and/or 45° up or down. Depending on the place or film situation, the length of the crane can be adjusted from 1.27 m to 2.13 m (working length approx. 1.82 m). The autolevelling system keeps the camera always in a horizontal position and guarantees distortion-free shots. In order for you to be able to see what your camera sees, there is an additional platform on the central axis for mounting a monitor. For maximum stability, the VTJ-1.8 should be mounted on a large, strong tripod without a center column, such as the Sirui RX tripods. With a weight of only 2.7 kg, the VTJ-1.8 is a true portable crane.
